Introduction of “Si-Edomex” Platform Aims to Eliminate Corruption and Simplify Tramites
TOLUCA, State of Mexico – In alignment with the goal of the State of Mexico’s Development Plan to establish the state as a hub for economic development, competitiveness, and investment attraction, Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez’s administration has submitted a proposal to the State Congress (LXII Legislature) for the Unities Economic Law of the State of Mexico and its Municipalities.

- Regulate immediate opening and operation of economic units for small, medium, and large businesses through simplified and standardized tramites.

Creation of the “Si-Edomex” Electronic Platform
The Secretariat of Economic Development, led by Laura González Hernández, highlights that this initiative is a crucial step to strengthen the State of Mexico. The proposal includes the creation of an electronic platform called “Si-Edomex,” which will:
- Enable immediate and permanent submission of Avisos de Apertura for low or medium-impact businesses, replacing the need for a functioning license.
- Allow requests for Municipal Functioning Licenses specifically for high-impact businesses.
Addressing Corruption and Reducing Unnecessary Requirements
By implementing these measures, the law aims to:
- Prevent corrupt practices.
- Reduce unnecessary costs, time, tramites, and requirements by eliminating the Dictamen de Giro and the Evaluation of Technical Feasibility for Sanitary Impact, both previously managed by municipal governments.
Subsanation of Non-Serious Violations
For economic units identified with non-serious violations in various areas by verification authorities, the law sets a 90-day deadline to rectify them before relevant authorities to avoid closures.
