Health Event: Universalizing Healthcare Services

On this Thursday, Nayarit’s Governor, Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, inaugurated the National Meeting on Health Education in Bahía de Banderas.

During the event, Governor Navarro Quintero emphasized the importance of ensuring that all citizens have access to healthcare services. He stated, “A doctor who does not feel human pain is not a doctor; a politician who does not feel social pain should not be a leader. Today is the time to discuss the universalization of healthcare services, and we must universalize these services.”

He highlighted that health is a crucial aspect of national governance and praised Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo for her strong social conscience connected to this cause. He proposed implementing an alert system that would provide affordable, human-centered healthcare instead of expensive technology-driven medicine.

Laura Cortés Sanabria, General Director of Quality and Health Education at the Federal Secretariat of Health, affirmed that this meeting offers an opportunity to build shared solutions and advance towards health education centered on prevention, primary care, and respect for diversity.

Housing Event: Strengthening National Housing Policy

Later, Governor Navarro Quintero inaugurated the XXXVIII CONOREVI meeting in Nuevo Nayarit, bringing together authorities from all levels of government, experts, academics, and private sector representatives.

The purpose of this forum is to reinforce the role of state entities in implementing the National Housing Policy, ensuring more Mexican families have access to decent housing.

During the inauguration, Governor Navarro Quintero stressed the need to intensify efforts for equitable and sustainable urban development.

“In Bahía de Banderas and other municipalities, we have donated lands for housing construction, which are not far from urban areas but within them. We are willing to collaborate in this noble program driven by the federal government to satisfy housing and other social demands, thus giving our country governability.”

José Alfonso Iracheta Carroll, General Director of the National Institute for Sustainable Land (INSUS), announced that the “Vivienda para el Bienestar” program aims to build 1.1 million affordable homes nationwide, half for INFONAVIT beneficiaries and the other half for those in the informal economy.

The event featured panels and keynote speeches, enabling the exchange of experiences and formulating proposals for joint actions to promote social housing across the country.

Mobility Event: Advancing Sustainable Transportation

Finally, Governor Navarro Quintero led the inauguration of the 32nd National Meeting of Mobility Authorities, gathering authorities from across the country to analyze, share, and coordinate strategies for more sustainable, safe, inclusive, and efficient transportation systems for all citizens.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of finding innovative and effective solutions for mobility.

“We must work on ensuring carriageway safety in the present, not celebrating past achievements but focusing on current efforts. We collaborate with the National Guard to prevent accidents and ensure transportation organizations feel safe navigating Nayarit’s roads, which have zero thefts.”

The 32nd Meeting of Mexican Mobility Authorities is a significant step towards creating policies and strategies to improve mobility in Mexico, promoting safer, more efficient, and sustainable transportation for all citizens.
