Delivery of 100 Patrols and 10 Surveillance Towers to Enhance Security Capabilities

During a recent event, the Governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta, delivered 100 new patrols and 10 surveillance towers aimed at improving the state’s security response capabilities. This action underscores Armenta’s commitment to ensuring safety and security for Puebla residents, positioning it as a fundamental right and priority.

Following President Sheinbaum’s Security Guidelines

Armenta emphasized that his administration is diligently following the security guidelines set forth by Mexico’s President, Claudia Sheinbaum. He stressed that Puebla is dedicated to upholding the law and combating the “puerta giratoria” (revolving door) phenomenon, which refers to the unjust rotation of public officials between government positions and private sectors.

Respect for Social Rights and Support for Security Personnel

The governor highlighted the importance of respecting social rights, particularly protecting journalists, families, and children. He announced that over 13,000 security personnel will receive housing support worth more than 135 million pesos, recognizing their crucial role in safeguarding the state.

Systematic Approach to Governance

Armenta explained that his administration operates with a systemic approach, guided by the humanist vision of President Sheinbaum and focusing on three key areas: security, justice, and community wealth. He pointed out that the new patrols are equipped with advanced technology, including facial recognition and license plate scanning systems, to ensure Puebla’s safety.

Collaboration and Support from Various Security Agencies

The Secretary of Public Security, Vice Admiral Francisco Sánchez González, acknowledged the significant step towards enhancing security and protecting Puebla. He mentioned that the newly acquired equipment, combined with 50 radio patrols and three mobile towers previously provided by the governor, demonstrates the government’s unwavering commitment to family security.

Sánchez González also highlighted the collaboration between various security agencies, including the Mexican Navy, National Defense Secretary, National Guard, Federal Security and Citizen Protection Secretariat, Federal Attorney General’s Office, State Attorney General’s Office, and municipal police forces. This cooperation ensures a unified strategy, enhances effectiveness, and sends a clear message to citizens about the government’s dedication to security.

Security as a Collective Responsibility

Magdalena Luna Domínguez, a state tourism police officer, expressed that the new equipment symbolizes trust from authorities and citizens in their work. She emphasized that security is not solely about force but also requires proximity, respect, sensitivity, and a dedication to serving with honor.

Security as a Cornerstone of Governance

Laura Artemisa García Chávez, President of the State Congress’s Governing Board and Political Coordination, stressed that security is vital for governance, as it enables development, peace, and progress. She emphasized that collaboration among all levels of government and society is essential for building security, asserting that safety is not a luxury but a fundamental right to live without fear.

Investing in Youth through Sports

Gabriela Sánchez Saavedra, Secretary of Sports and Youth, highlighted that the new equipment signifies a firm step towards peace, justice, and family tranquility in Puebla. She emphasized that her department promotes sports among youth as a powerful tool for prevention and social reconstruction.
