Key Details of the National Housing Program in Sinaloa
Culiacán, Sinaloa – During his weekly conference, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya highlighted the significance of the National Housing Program in Sinaloa, emphasizing its importance and potential impact on the region.
First Phase of the Program
- More than 7,000 homes will be built in the first phase out of a total of 14,000 planned, on 80 hectares of land with access to public services, healthcare facilities, and educational centers.
Rocha Moya explained that the program aims to construct dignified housing complexes, following President Claudia Sheinbaum’s initiative to avoid cramped living conditions. Each home will span 60 square meters, featuring recreational spaces, wide streets, and ensuring no overcrowding.
Affordable Housing for Low-Income Families
The program targets families earning between 1 and 2 minimum wages, ensuring affordable housing options. To achieve this, the government is securing land donations and reserving 15 hectares in Guasave. Additionally, state and municipal construction taxes will be waived, and efforts are underway to secure a reliable water supply for both new and existing housing complexes.
