“We have taken the lead in exchanging and destroying 420 short firearms and 218 grenades, demonstrating the commitment of the State of México’s citizens to a safer state,” Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez stated on social media.

Figures presented by the Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa) reflect the citizens’ trust in building a peaceful environment and solidify the state’s position as a national reference for voluntary disarmament.

The campaign is part of coordinated efforts among federal, state, and local authorities. “Together, we are building a safer State of México!” Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez affirmed.
