The National Fund for Workers’ Housing (Infonavit) and the National Housing Commission (Conavi) are making progress in their plans to fulfill the Well-being Housing program, aiming to build and grant 1.8 million homes during the current six-year term.

Infonavit’s Progress

According to Octavio Romero Oropeza, Director of Infonavit, by 2025, the institute aims to complete 302,171 homes, which accounts for 25% of the six-year plan.

“I encourage all beneficiaries to visit Infonavit service centers for information, data updates, and details on available homes. Deliveries will occur weekly as beneficiaries complete their applications,” Romero Oropeza added.

Conavi’s Progress

Meanwhile, Conavi plans to close 2025 with 86,000 homes under construction for the Bienestar program, targeting non-beneficiary population.

To meet annual targets, Conavi will conduct its third registration phase from October 13-19, 2025, distributing projects across 50 sites.

Rodrigo Chávez Contreras, Conavi’s Director, explained that 20% of this year’s constructed homes will be allocated to the young rental segment for students and workers.

Chávez Contreras also mentioned that 79% of applicants in the first two phases were women. By age group, 62% belong to middle-aged individuals, 28.8% are young adults, and the rest are divided between seniors and minors.

“The third registration phase aims to finalize 86,000 homes. We will intensify information dissemination since the first phase had greater participation than the second. We plan to create more campaigns through social media and on-ground materials,” Chávez stated.
