Other European attackers, such as Egypt’s Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and England’s Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), are also on the list decided by a “panel of experts” assembled by FIFA.

In the women’s category, there are seventeen players nominated. The English national team, two-time European champions, has five nominees, matching Spain’s number. His competitors include Dutch coach Arne Slot (Liverpool) and German Hansi Flick (FC Barcelona).

Sarina Wiegman is the favorite for Best Coach in the women’s category, having won her third consecutive European Championship with the Netherlands.
