Bankaool’s Expansion in Jalisco to Boost Economic Development
Guadalajara, Jalisco. Bankaool, a multiple banking institution based in Chihuahua, is set to open a Business Center in Guadalajara. This center will not only serve as a banking hub for clients but also provide a coworking space. The move aims to establish Bankaool as a digital multiple bank in Jalisco, contributing to the economic development of the region.
“Guadalajara is a crucial city for several reasons; firstly, its national significance; secondly, we already have a substantial presence here with numerous corporate clients; thirdly, our clients in other locations like Mexico City, State of Mexico, and Chihuahua have commercial relationships with Guadalajara-based entrepreneurs,” said Sergio Becerra, the bank’s Deputy General Director.
Bankaool’s Growth Plans
Interviewed in Guadalajara before the Banking Convention starting Thursday in Nuevo Nayarit-Vallarta, Becerra stated that by the end of this year, Bankaool plans to open 10 business centers in various cities across the country and install 800 ATMs nationwide. Despite being the only bank offering access to any other institution’s ATMs without commission, Bankaool remains committed to this expansion.
Support for SMEs
Given that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Jalisco and across the country are the primary job creators, Becerra emphasized the importance of supporting and financing this business segment.
“You’ll likely see during the Banking Convention the push from the bank president regarding SME economic development, requesting banks to lower interest rates to stimulate credit towards SMEs and consequently, economic growth,” Becerra added.
Currently, Bankaool serves 130,000 clients nationwide. By the end of 2024, its credit portfolio reached 10 billion pesos, with a collection of 14 billion pesos.
