Investment Details and Impact

During her national tour for accountability, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced a significant investment of approximately 650 million pesos for Coahuila as part of the Integral Program for High-Quality Meat Production. This investment includes low-interest credits for livestock fattening and the construction of a comprehensive meat production center.

This investment complements previous announcements: 700 million pesos for Durango and 831 million pesos for Sonora, aiming to make Mexico a high-quality meat producer in the northern states.

Justice for AHMSA Workers

In line with one of her 100 commitments, President Sheinbaum Pardo assured justice for Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA) workers and the revival of the siderurgical industry in Coahuila.

“One of my 100 commitments for the six-year term is to resolve the AHMSA issue, and we will fulfill it,” she stated. “I inform the workers that in the ongoing lawsuit, we have set a condition for the judge: prioritize workers and justice for them. I am confident we will succeed. The Secretary of Labor is already meeting with you. Together, we will recover Coahuila’s siderurgical industry.”

She also reaffirmed the Mexican government’s commitment to finding the remaining miners in Pasta de Conchos, emphasizing their dedication to justice.
