SOFT 2025 Event Announces New Name and Focus on Generative AI

Monterrey, NL. The Clúster de Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones de Nuevo León (Csoftmty) announced that during the upcoming SOFT 2025 event on October 30 in Monterrey, it will formally unveil its transformation into the Clúster de la Innovación. The aim is to provide comprehensive consulting services to strengthen all industries through generative artificial intelligence (AI) and future technologies, explained Gustavo García, Csoftmty’s president and Skye Group CEO.

García stated in a press conference, “The world has drastically changed. After visiting various parts of the globe, a common thread emerges: generative AI—supercomputing, superintelligence, quantum computing, and new technologies applied to healthcare, logistics, home appliances, and the automotive industry. Everything is being reshaped by information technology.”

He further elaborated, “What businesses truly seek is comprehensive consulting that enables them to understand each industry, make them experts in their sector, and integrate information technology at the core of their business.”

Incorporating SMEs into the Reconfiguration

The state’s Secretary of Economy reviewed the formation of the ecosystem of the 15 clusters in the state over the past 20 years. Csoftmty’s work has focused on developing suppliers alongside the Automotive Cluster of Nuevo León, eventually attracting KIA Mexico to the region. Universities then created curricula for engineering career reconversion, which is now well-positioned. Now, the focus shifts to setting new standards for an integrated information technology project, particularly to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—which make up 99% of businesses in the region—to participate in supply chains.

“We want to become a Global Innovation Hub, creating new products and services, processes, and preparing for the future industry,” García emphasized.

Trends and the Future of Digital Talent

According to Ángeles Vela, General Director of Csoftmty, the 14th edition of SOFT 2025 will take place on October 30, bringing together leaders, companies, and experts to share AI, innovation trends, and establish strategic connections.

The event’s agenda includes the Gartner presentation on Principal Strategic Technology Trends for 2026, a discussion on the future of digital talent by the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, and Coursera, as well as MEXDC, LA Hub’s presentation on AI Agents and Data Centers.
