Flix and Mexico’s Secretariat of Tourism: A Strategic Partnership

Flix and Mexico’s Secretariat of Tourism have signed a non-commercial use license agreement, enabling Flix to incorporate the “Mexico” brand in its promotional strategy for domestic tourism destinations. This collaboration aims to strengthen Mexico’s position as an accessible, safe, and attractive travel destination by leveraging its intercity routes to boost internal tourism and highlight the country’s cultural, natural, and gastronomic diversity.

Flix’s Mexican Partners

In this initial expansion phase, Flix collaborates with experienced Mexican small and medium-sized businesses to innovate, modernize, and expand their presence and operations across Mexico.

Mexico: Flix’s New Destination in Latin America

Following successful operations and rapid expansion in Brazil and Chile, Flix enters Mexico, the world’s third-largest bus transportation market, valued at over 150,000 million pesos after China and India. This market surpasses those of the United States, Chile, Brazil, and Peru combined.

Mexico’s Bus Culture

Between 2017 and 2023, 95% of Mexican passengers have relied on the bus as their primary mode of transportation, reflecting high demand and a deeply ingrained culture around intercity travel.
