Guadalajara Airport Announces Two New Routes to Canada

Air Transat and Air Canada to Operate Direct Flights to Montreal and Toronto

Guadalajara, Jalisco. With the introduction of flights from Guadalajara to Montreal and Guadalajara to Toronto, Jalisco’s capital will significantly enhance its air connectivity with Canada. In less than a year, the Tapatío airport has announced four new routes to this country.

Air Transat and Air Canada Details

The Group Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) announced that Montreal will be one of the Canadian destinations connected with Jalisco’s capital through Air Transat, while Air Canada will link Toronto to Guadalajara, further strengthening the airport’s connectivity with North America.

Flight Schedules

  • Air Transat to Montreal: The flight will operate on an Airbus 321 starting December 13, 2025, and ending April 19, 2026, with two weekly frequencies. It will depart Montreal on Thursdays and Saturdays at 19:00 hours, arriving in Guadalajara at midnight. It will then depart from Guadalajara on Fridays and Sundays at 01:15 hours, arriving in Montreal at 07:10 hours.
  • Air Canada to Toronto: Operations will commence in the last quarter of 2025 from Guadalajara International Airport, connecting with Toronto Pearson Airport. Flights will begin on November 4, 2025, and end April 29, 2026, with three weekly frequencies. It will depart from Toronto on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 16:45 hours, arriving in Guadalajara at 21:10 hours. It will depart from Guadalajara on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 08:30 hours, arriving in Toronto at 14:05 hours.

Martín Pablo Zazueta, the director of the Tapatío airport, stated: “The opening of this new route to Montreal and the incorporation of a new airline with Toronto as its destination clearly demonstrate the dynamism and international projection of the Guadalajara airport, as well as Canada’s consolidation as a strategic market for our city.”

International Connectivity

The newly announced routes complement the existing two offered by Flair Airlines to Vancouver and Toronto, which began operations in May and September 2024, respectively.

Currently, the Guadalajara International Airport offers 60 routes to seven countries, positioning it as one of Mexico’s best-connected airports.

In February, GAP announced an investment of over 22 billion pesos for this airport, with key projects including a new terminal building representing a 73% increase in infrastructure and a new six-kilometer road access connecting the airport terminal from Adolfo B. Horn Avenue.
