Collaborative Efforts by State and Federal Governments

Manuel Cardona Zapata, from the National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores (ANTAD), announced that Mexico City and the State of Mexico will generate more than 23% of the total sales during the Buen Fin 2025. This significant contribution will be made possible through coordinated strategies between state and federal governments, as well as private sector collaboration.

Promoting Local Consumption and the “Made in Mexico” Label

State governments will focus on promoting the consumption of local products, emphasizing the “Made in Mexico” label to strengthen local value chains and redirect consumer preferences towards national products. Sergio Silva Castañeda, head of the Economic Growth and Development Unit at the Secretaría de Economía (SE), highlighted the importance of local authorities’ collaboration in implementing national policies.

State and Federal Governments’ Commitment

Laura González Hernández, head of the State of Mexico’s Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico (Sedeco), expressed her commitment to ensuring the Buen Fin 2025 is a successful, safe, and highly participative event. She also directly encouraged small businesses to register and join the commercial event with enthusiasm and responsibility.

Boosting E-commerce for Mexican SMEs

According to the Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO), only 10% of Mexican companies currently sell online. The Buen Fin presents an opportunity for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSEs) to transition into e-commerce.

Manola Zavalaza, head of Sedeco in Mexico City, emphasized the Buen Fin’s economic impact, generating over 173,000 million pesos in economic circulation and benefiting more than 200,000 businesses annually.
