Government Allocates Funds for Road and Highway Renovation
The Michoacán government, under the Plan Michoacán por la Paz y la Justicia, will invest a mixed state and federal amount of 39,330 million pesos in infrastructure projects, announced Rogelio Zarazúa Sánchez, head of the Michoacán Communications and Public Works Secretariat (SCOP).

- Improvement of the Papelera-La Hielera and Ricardo Flores Magón-Santa Rosa road segments
- Renovation of the Uruapan City Hall building
- Acquisition of public transportation units
Federal Projects for Enhanced Connectivity
Zarazúa Sánchez specified that federal projects focusing on strengthening the state’s connectivity have been approved, including:
- Construction of the Uruapan Ramal
- New Uruapan-Zamora highway
- Expansion of the Siglo XXI Freeway in the Cuatro Caminos segment
- Zitácuaro-Maravatío highway
Federal Plan for Road Conservation and Maintenance
The federal plan for road conservation and maintenance covers 59 segments totaling 2,748 kilometers, with an investment of 8,186 million pesos. Additionally, the construction of 95 artisanal roads spanning 369.5 kilometers at a cost of 2,297 million pesos will benefit 39 municipalities in the state.
