- Plásticos Durex: A Spanish company has pledged to invest 215 million pesos in Querétaro to expand its operations, producing conventional suspension, pneumatic, and dust cover (dust cover) parts.
- Delta Tecnic: A technology supplier for the plastic industry, Delta Tecnic, will invest 200 million pesos to increase its production capabilities in Pedro Escobedo.
Abbott’s Investment and Industry Growth
Following the inauguration of Abbott’s plant, dedicated to manufacturing electrophysiology products, Sedesu highlighted the potential for developing medical equipment industry in Querétaro.
“Abbott’s $200 million investment not only brings jobs and capital but also adds value to the medical equipment niche, encouraging more companies like this to establish themselves in Querétaro.”
Sedesu emphasized the importance of fostering medical industry suppliers and creating an ecosystem for this specialized sector.
Workforce Development and Industry Growth
Sedesu acknowledged the growing demand for specialized human capital due to companies’ training needs. However, he noted that Querétaro is meeting these demands, as around 5,000 engineers graduate annually in the state.
“The demand for specialized personnel is consistently increasing as more specialized companies arrive, seeking highly skilled and specialized employees. Querétaro is fulfilling this requirement.”
