Collaboration with Ávoris Travel School to Develop New Skills and Shared Academic Programs

Querétaro, Qro. The state government of Querétaro signed a collaboration agreement with Ávoris Travel School, a training institution designed to meet the demands for specialized tourism expertise.

The aim is to work together in selling tourist packages and training service providers, as announced by the state government during the fourth day of a Queretan delegation’s visit to Madrid, Spain.

Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado, Secretary of Tourism

The state authority mentioned that the agreement offers the chance to train 11,500 travel agents who are part of Grupo Ávoris’ sales area. She introduced the Agente Q training platform, enabling travel agents and sales executives to learn about Querétaro’s main tourist attractions and services at their own pace.

The platform is user-friendly, allowing Grupo Ávoris collaborators to become Querétaro ambassadors in Madrid and across Europe, according to the local government’s press release.

Governor Mauricio Kuri González

During the agreement signing and visit to Ávoris Travel School’s facilities, Governor Mauricio Kuri emphasized talent development and capacity building as a means to showcase Querétaro globally.

He stated, “Through the state’s Tourism Secretariat, we will establish connections to build collaboration aimed at strengthening the Querétaro-Madrid flight sales and promoting tourism between Spain and our state.”

The delegation also visited the Airbus 350 aircraft, with 432 seats, which will be used at the start of Querétaro-Madrid flight operations in October.

Mondragón International Reviews Expansion Opportunities

In addition, the Queretan delegation met with Mondragón executives, a cooperative business group operating in various sectors, which is reviewing expansion projects in Querétaro, as per the state government’s communication.

During a meeting between Mondragón International President Oskar Goitia and Governor Mauricio Kuri, they discussed potential areas for future projects.

The Basque-origin cooperative is active in industries, finance, distribution, and education, as reported by the local government.
