Querétaro Delegation to Visit Spain During Fitur Tourism Fair
Querétaro, Qro. In the context of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) in Madrid, Spain, a state delegation will undertake a visit to the country, where they will announce investments set to be established in Querétaro, according to the Secretary of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero.
“We have some good news in January, but we will wait for the announcements to share them along with the companies that will trust Querétaro. In the first half of January, we will announce some (investments) from Spain specifically; they will be announced in Spain,” Del Prete Tercero stated.
Querétaro Representation at Fitur
Moreover, the state will have representation at Fitur, taking place from January 21 to 25, where Mexico will participate as the partner country for the 2026 edition.
“We will be (…) at Fitur, with Mexico being the invited country; thus, we have great expectations to promote our state and attract more investments, bring in more tourists to our state, and foster commercial exchange between Spain and Querétaro, through Mexico,” Del Prete Tercero declared.
New Madrid-Querétaro Flight Enhances Travel and Economic Growth
This initiative coincides with the inauguration of the Madrid-Querétaro flight, which landed at Querétaro International Airport (AIQ) on December 20. An increase in traveler exchange is anticipated, along with the economic impact of tourism facilitated by this new route. The flight is operated using an Airbus 350-900 with a capacity for 432 passengers, as per Sedesu’s head.
“The economic impact is quite extensive, as it not only includes passengers coming to consume but also the exchange of goods. A flight arriving in our state multiplies because it brings merchandise, allowing connections to other destinations, such as Spain, in this case,” Del Prete Tercero explained.
