Collaborative Efforts to Boost Sustainable Development
Querétaro, a Mexican state known for its logistical and industrial hub status, is set to spearhead projects in electric mobility, electrologistics, and community solar energy. This initiative stems from a collaboration agreement between state agencies, the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), the Querétaro Energy Agency, and the Sostenibilidad Global organization.
Key Focus Areas
- Electrologistics: Leveraging Querétaro’s strategic location, the state aims to explore electrologistics potential. This field focuses on optimizing urban goods distribution using electric vehicles, as outlined in the research paper “Electrologistics: Urban Merchandise Distribution via Electric Vehicles” by Miguel Gastón Cedillo Campos and Hipólito Martell Flores.
- Electric Mobility: Querétaro will promote electric vehicle adoption to reduce carbon emissions and foster sustainable transportation.
- Community Solar Energy: Through the Alianza por la Equidad Energética (AEE), Querétaro seeks to implement distributed solar energy solutions, ensuring accessibility for underserved communities.
