Contribution to the Fideicomiso para la Administración del Programa de Desarrollo Forestal del Estado de Jalisco (FIPRODEFO)
In observance of World Environment Day on June 5, the tequila production chain highlighted its commitment to environmental care through actions such as contributing resources to the Fideicomiso para la Administración del Programa de Desarrollo Forestal del Estado de Jalisco (FIPRODEFO) for the production of plants for reforestation activities.
Since 2021, the tequila agroindustrial sector, via CRT, has supported this forestry production. The nursery where these plants are produced is located in the municipality of Zapotlán el Grande; the first production was obtained in 2022, which were used to reforest the Protected Natural Area of Bosque de la Primavera,” explained Eduardo Ibarra Arellano, Sustainability Projects Manager at CRT.
Cooperation Between CRT and Jalisco Government
