A Retrofuturistic Party in the Virtual World
Starting this weekend, players can embark on a galactic adventure that traces the musical history of the iconic French duo, featuring 31 songs from their entire discography. This makes it the largest musical experience in Fortnite’s history.
Fortnite has opened its doors to a new sonic universe: the Daft Punk Experience, an interactive tribute celebrating the legacy of the iconic French duo.
The journey begins in Battle Royale, where a monolith serves as a portal to this experience. Players can also enter at any time by selecting the “Daft Punk Experience” card in the Discover menu. Upon crossing the portal, players are greeted by a dance track that kicks off with a theme from Alive 2007, one of the duo’s most iconic albums.
Throughout the experience, there are multiple rooms for interaction: in Dream Chamber Studios, players can remix and mashup their songs; in the Robot Rock Arena, players face hordes of robots using a soundwave laser; in Around the World, players can create a LEGO music video; and in the Daft Club, the party continues until dawn.
The space design also includes elements from Hervet Manufacturier, the band’s frequent collaborator.
Skins, Accessories, and Exclusive Music in the Shop
The collaboration includes a Daft Punk set in the Fortnite Store, featuring headgear, outfits, and accessories from the GM08 and TB3 models, available in both Fortnite and LEGO styles. Players can also obtain virtual instruments and a “Get Lucky” jam track featuring Pharrell Williams’ vocals and Nile Rodgers’ guitar, taking the musical experience to the next level.
