García Sepúlveda Meets with CMIC Nuevo León to Discuss Infrastructure Projects

In a private meeting with members of the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) in Nuevo León, Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda asserted that his administration will continue to drive significant infrastructure projects throughout the remainder of the six-year term.

García Sepúlveda Highlights Nuevo León’s Infrastructure Achievements

The governor emphasized that Nuevo León has achieved record-breaking infrastructure numbers and maintains a dynamic economy. “Investment has not decreased; the economy remains robust, and we lead in every category. Nuevo León is the state doing the most public works across Mexico,” he stressed.

Key Infrastructure Projects Announced

  • Construction of Metro Lines 4 and 6, which had been stalled for months due to unresolved state budget issues.
  • Remodelation and construction of new hospitals.
  • Development of La Gloria-Colombia, Interserrana roadways, and the Juárez-Pesquería toll road.
  • Construction of a new road leading to the León Dam (formerly known as Libertad) and the Cerro Prieto Dam.

García Sepúlveda explained that these projects would require not just financial resources but also the capabilities of Nuevo León’s construction companies. He did not specify the framework for these multi-annual projects.

Infrastructure Projects Create Employment Opportunities

Rodrigo Garza Tijerina, president of CMIC Nuevo León, expressed gratitude for the collaboration between the public, private, and civil society sectors. He emphasized that infrastructure projects aim to build a future, community, and well-being for all, accompanied by social responsibility, environmental care, and a long-term vision.

Expo Constructo 2025 Kickoff

The 26th Expo Constructo took place from May 28 to 30 at Cintermex, featuring 600 brands and 110 exhibitors from Mexico, China, Canada, and the United States. Attendees had access to construction technology innovations, conferences, and workshops.

Importance of Construction Sector for States and Cities

Edgar Medina, director of Expo Constructo, highlighted the crucial role of the construction sector in each state and city, as it involves public works to enhance infrastructure for citizens.
