Investment Attractiveness in Puebla

Puebla, Puebla. The state is set to receive new investments before the end of 2025, with announcements expected this month of November, particularly for the Development Polo in San José Chiapa, home to Audi’s automotive plant.

Víctor Gabriel Chedraui, Secretary of Economic Development and Employment (Sedetra), mentioned that they are evaluating potential companies that could join the Capital of Technology and Sustainability Development Polo.

Contrary to the statement by the Coordinating Business Council (CCE) that no further investments would be made this year, Chedraui emphasized that such a decision is not swift or simple for companies, as they must consider various factors before finalizing a project.

However, he highlighted that Puebla is attractive for manufacturing companies in the textile, automotive, food, and renewable energy sectors.

Investments in Development Polo and Industrial Zones

Under this backdrop, Chedraui reiterated that the governor, Alejandro Armenta Mier, will make investment announcements this month as they are finalizing talks with companies, some for the Development Polo and others for Puebla’s industrial zones.

As a result, he assured that Puebla will conclude with investment announcements in the final stages of 2025, with some operations materializing in the following year.

“Puebla boasts extensive competitive advantages in strategic location, road and railway connectivity, skilled labor force, and technological innovation potential,” he stressed.

Chedraui added that fiscal incentives will be crucial to attract new businesses and accelerate Puebla’s economic growth.

He explained that the state government aims to design a plan ensuring entrepreneurs make a decision and recognize Puebla’s logistical advantages as a transit hub between southern and central Mexico.

Chedraui mentioned that Sedetra closely monitors each investment project, some short-term and others medium-term.
